Teresa's and Bruce's new unit

Just thought I would post a couple of pictures of Teresa's and Bruce's new fifth-wheel trailer. It is really nice.

Enjoying Fall Leaves

Molly and I were out and about today taking some pictures of the fall leaves and a walking path in town. We even got to see a kayaker enjoying the weather.

Interesting Day!

We had an interesting day today at NK'Mip. We were outside enjoying the beautiful day and suddenly these two horses strolled by and began grazing on the hill. Then Molly and I started to go for a walk on one of the trails and there was a snake on the path. That was enough to turn me around. It was only a small snake but I was a big chicken! We ended the day by going to Teresa's and Bruce's for a lovely chicken stew and berry crisp.......yummy!

Thanksgiving Weekend

David cooked our turkey on the bar-b-q and it was fantastic. We were lucky enough to have great company for dinner as well. Bruce and Teresa, Cindy, Mitch, Chelsey and Kyle joined David and I for dinner and it was wonderful to visit and catch up on old times. It was a beautiful day, about 18c and sunny. We sat out and visited till the turkey was cooked and then moved inside for dinner. It was a wonderful day and we have a great deal to be thankful for!

Top of the Hill

We drove up to the top of the hill on highway 3 east and there is a spectacular view of Osoyoos to the right and Washington to the left. We are about 5 min. away from the USA border. The road up the hill was very twisty and turny, a donkey trail would be my guess!

NK'Mip

This is a large complex with campground, winery, orchard, cultural centre, spa, resturant and resort. I took some pictures but it is hard to fit it all in.

NK'Mip Cultural Centre

I went to the NK'Mip Desert Cultural Centre and was amazed by the amount of thought and work put into telling the story of the land and of the native people of Osoyoos. There was an information centre with displays and films to tell the story. Then outside there was an extensive trail to show some of the native plants and their uses as well as a replica of a native village. It was incredibly well done. I am continually impressed by this complex. Next I will investigate the winery that is also in the complex.

We went to Keremeos today and had fun plus got to see some new sights. We saw an unusual vine that was growing on a pole and arcoss the wires. I thought it looked like a person.
We also saw Red Bridge which was a train bridge that was later converted to a car bridge. It was neat and of course I had to drive across it!
We also saw lots of fruit stands! But this one was by far the best. It had lots of old cars and tractors on display and all decked out with pumpkins. I don't know what my attraction to pumpkins is but I do love them. I also took a picture of the moon tonight, it was beautiful over the lake but I am afraid it means it will be colder than it has been. I have published more photos on http://www.flickr.com/photos/31136695@N04/?saved=1 if you would like to take a look.
